UN: 112 businesses linked to Israeli settlements

The United Nations has released a list of 112 companies with activities in Jewish settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, which are considered illegal under international law. These include Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia Group and Motorola Solutions among others.
The UN report comes in response to a 2016 UN Human Rights Council resolution calling for a “database for all businesses engaged in specific activities related to Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory”.
Though the move was cheered by Palestinians, Israel was quick to slam it. Accusing the Human Rights Council of bias, Israel said it was a shameful surrender to pressure from countries and organisations who want to harm Israel.
