7th Dohuk International Film Festival starts in Iraq
(11 Sep 2019) 7TH DOHUK INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL STARTS IN IRAQ
The seventh Dohuk International Film Festival is underway in Iraq.
The festival is an annual event organized by the ministry of culture and Dohuk governorate to promote cinema and art in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Between 1st April and 1st July, over a thousand films were submitted to the committee to participate in the festival.
The list was whittled down to 112 movies from 74 countries, according to Helket Idris, the festival’s head of media.
